Rear quarter blind

The rear blind behind the sliding door on my 2015 ocean has become fully extended stuck.
I’ve read through the stickies and other posts etc and can confirm that the black connectors on the wire connected to the alloy bar are fine.
It seems that the retracting mechanism has seized and the fabric looks to have bunched in the top right corner. I feel the only way to fix it is to access the mechanism by removing the surrounding trim which I’m not too keen on doing. I have an image from lllparts but it’s not wholly accurate that I can loosely use.
Has anyone attempted this or could advise where to find a procedure?

An update. I managed to pop off the rear side panel which hopefully will give me access to the end of the roller and see what’s going on with a decent light.
As can be seen in the photos the top panel above the roller runs to the drivers seat and the rear one incorporates the drop down cupboard both of which Im not so confident it prying off.
