My son is about to embark on a road trip from Milan via Switzerland, to Munich (airport) and back via Slovenia (Lake Bled), Dolomites, Lake Garda then back to Milan, in an Atlas 5 hired motorhome.
Whilst we have some experience of Europe (from 3x three week previous Van trips), please can anyone recommend fun things or good stop-offs in Switzerland or Slovenia - as they have to drive from Milan to Munich to pick up two of his friends for the return leg of a 20 day trip.
Any recommendation of a good route/things to see or do BETWEEN Interlaken and Munich would be gratefully received... thanks in anticipation!
The plan so far is Milan to Baveno / Stressa on Lake Maggiore, over the Simplon pass to Visp, a day trip to Tasch to visit Zermatt / see The Matterhorn, then hop on the car train from Goppenstein towards Kandersteg, hike to Lake Oeschinensee, then on towards Interlaken with some adventures in Lauterbrunnen area. Itinerary is flexible to some degree.
