Roof failure

My cali's roof has failed and I have a long wait for parts apparently (wiring loom). The roof has closed but I don't believe it has locked. I've put the straps on to secure the roof. I was wondering how safe it is to drive locally if I stay to about 30 miles an hour only? Hate not being able to drive my van. Killing me just seeing it parked up during the summer.

Not knowing which vehicle you have and how the roof failed and how a wiring loom defect was diagnosed ( first time I've seen such a defect reported on the Forum ) I would suggest asking your garage.
