Has anyone else figured out why the ETA for journeys in the Cali almost always give an average speed of 32 mph??!! It then starts to back calculate, but even when about 45 miles to go, still cheerfully suggests an ETA of 1.5 hours...... TomTom for the same journey of 150 miles will be 3 hours versus 5 on the 510!! Does it base it all on the average speed of the van over the time since it was last reset or is it more like the pessimism of Marvin the Paranoid Android?

We often have Waze running on the iPhone alongside the 510; timing-wise Waze is normally pretty good with the 510 often 30 mins or more later and converging as we near the destination. Interestingly the 510 often beats Waze with re routing for accidents which really surprises me.

You can change the setting: slow, medium or fast

Settings > Navigation settings > Advanced settings, then scroll down to the bottom,

Thanks for the last nugget of information. Shall see if that sorts it out...... bet it says to do that in the (unopened) manual! :headbang :headbang
