Has anyone any tips on removing scratches in the Dark Grey rough plastic on the Dashboard.?

Thanks for any information.

Are they surface scratches or do they have depth? Any photos?

You need to be careful, the surface is grained, sometimes attempts to remove them results in a worse mess :(

I have heard of using a hairdrier on plastic bumpers to bring the colour back

Are you going to COTF, think they are offering this service there?

The scratches aren't deep, just a lighter grey colour on the edge by the dashboard storage. Had to remove the storage locker to check my MDI plugs.image.jpg

Doesn't look too bad. Try rubbing with the back of your fingernail or smooth object to settle the plastic back in. Also, try the wax off an apple (yes really, look for those waxy ones in the shop).

Did your MDI stop working? I still haven't found the right lead for mine (was missing) so never had mine working. Starting to wonder if it's the unit itself, but scans fine with VCDS.

There is a little flap on the R upper side in the storage box. Fiddling I dropped it behind the box. Partially took out box and got it but then my USB stick stopped working. Took out the box again and made sure plugs were in and now it's working.
