I must warn you that the chrome bars are yet another thing for the OCD among us to polish (just given mine quick shine up)!!

Yes lee I did but only a small amount around the bolts that hold the brackets about an inch square
Hardly notices
And yes Alex the wheels should finish it off nicely

Kev did you go for OG vw side bars in the end .? :?:

No aftermarket ones that use the same grade and size stainless steel they also have the same fitting brackets and have the same angle bends as the vw ones. £220 delivered

I have a grey berg Alex .. Have u seen blk on a transporter other than silver ?

I saw some matt black ones on a conversation at the weekend and they did look good until I saw them close up and there were loads of scratches going down to the metal around the driver and passenger doors.

I think some are painted and some powder coated the latter being better

Electro Plating in Black or Black Chrome would give better longevity if you could do it.

May just have to touch them in if they go down to the s/s ....I would like to see a grey transporter with them on and not to worried about them scratching ..
