Just been looking at those Yes campervan California sink covers at £34.99
Are they any good? Anyone used one?

Not sure I understand the utility for the split hob/sink glass cover - just keep the fitted glass sink cover down if you want the work space. Just something extra to move out of the way to use the sink.
Makes more sense for the old style single hob/sink cover.

Agree. Also relegated the plastic bowl to the garage long ago, was also just another thing to keep taking in and out.

Just somewhere to put a hot pan when using the burner. For fear of the glass sink top exploding due to heat.

Never heard of that happen, but we prefer just to pack a few small trivets to put pans on when cooking. We can then use them on the glass or on the table. These our preferred;

Joseph Joseph Duo Spot-On Set of 2 Silicone Trivets, Heat resistant table mats for hot pots and pans, Blue/White

Same here - have two small silicone trivets in the shape of a turtle ! :)
Got them from Ikea years ago - just looked now and they have up'd their game !
Not sure if making them magnetic is a good thing ?

We use procook ones that fold up and go in cutlery drawer

Just grabbed one of these at the the weekend.
£5 each or any 3 items from a wide range for £9.00 Bargain.
3 New knives, Trivet, Scissors and tin opener.
They used to do sets of silicon sauce pan lids as well, but i bought my last set at a Garden Centre, they are a lot lighter than glass ones and unbreakable

I've got a sink cover from Yes Campervan, which I purchased to replace the original sink glass cover which mysteriously exploded whilst I was away from the van (that resulted in a bit of a saga with VW which I won't go into here!). It's well made, fits the space perfectly, and provides a reassuringly heatproof surface. The only negative so far has been that it marks easily and after a year of use mine is covered in scratches and blemishes. So it very quickly lost its smart appearance - if you can live with that, its a great piece of kit.
