A word of warning if camping without driving. We are currently staying at a campsite and have our car and bikes with us and so are leaving the cali with roof up. We are connected to the mains but returned to find we couldn't unlock because we had a totally flat engine battery. This I discovered from checking the forum was because the electric door closers run on the engine battery. We have been here for 2 weeks. Also from the forum we found that the trickle charge to the engine battery was introduced in 2008 whilst we are 2007. I would hope that this would be adequate to cope with the door closer engine battery drain.
For those of you with an older T5 cali - watch the engine battery if camping not driving. As an aside the auxiliary heater also showed a fault after the flat battery - forum says reset the control - have to lower the roof to reset - now all's well.

BRILLIANT FORUM. Thank you all for setting up, running and contributing.

Good to hear things worked out well , this forum is indeed a suberb source of info...
