I’ve grumbled (rightly I hope, not a keyboard warrior), about some QC gremlins on my new Cali.

The Yin to that Yang, it’s really an incredible vehicle.

We’ve camped in it. Slept in it pre Gatwick flight at a pub. It’s done tip runs. School runs. I’ve worked in it. We’ve made teas and coffees by the roadside instead of buying muck in a service.

As @wildslammer22 says, it’s the most customisable car one can own. I’ve done so many mods inside and out.

It’s more than a car, it’s a wonderful (and expensive) hobby.

I love it. It’s one of our family.

Absolutely agree. Even I have grumbled about it, but one good night's sleep, by a lake somewhere in the middle of nowhere and waking up next day morning with childlike glee to a glorious sunrise makes you forget all that is not working in the world and you are in love with the Cali again! It is an incredible vehicle indeed.

Just to add my agreement to this thread. Just returned from 3 weeks in France and can’t imagine a better vehicle than a Cali. Having bought our van in Jan 23, we’ve been away on a number of 2-4 day UK trips and 2 weeks in Normandy in May. The most recent trip was more ambitious, travelling down to the Pyrenees and back through the Dordogne to Brittany and the St Malo ferry home. I started the trip contemplating bigger vans (Sven Hedin etc), but after 3 weeks away I’m just not sure I’d want the travelling limitations a bigger van would inevitably bring. That said we’re a retired couple and I’m not sure I’d be of the same opinion if we had children (or dog) accompanying us!

We wish we’d bought ours sooner.
As an everyday vehicle it really is perfect, with the added benefit of being able to go and stay in it! Yes, it’s tight with 4 of us but that’s camping!

Totally agree! I can’t think of a more versatile vehicle - daily driver, camper, builders van, adventure vehicle, mobile office, emergency spare room for visitors and best of all a man cave!

It took me a while to convince myself to put the money down for the van. Back in 2010 I already thought the price was high, but if I see them now, I am glad I paid the price back then.
I was tired of sleeping in a tent, on the ground. Now I sleep in a tent (single layer, not even double), but not on the ground anymore.
I got the papers in may 18th, and took off for 2 weeks around France on the 21st, getting back home on the 5th of june.
First stop Étretat. Then Carolles, Vaux-sur-Mer, Carcassonne, Pézenas, La Charité-sur-Loire.
I came back home with over 3000km. On the 18th it had 8km.
Yes it was a high price, but I have not regretted it one day. Even with the problems that have occured over the years.
I am not planning to get rid of it very soon.
