Spare seat T6

Does anyone have a new T6 California but a T5 spare seat ? Just wondering how you have then managed to fit the seat? I don't have removable slots on the rails other than the plastic ends. I wonder if the T6 system works differently. Thank you.

Are you sure that the silver rail covers don't slide into the space left by the plastic covers and lift up?
I thought the rail system was unchanged.
