Hello, has anybody put the underslung spare on a T6 in a cover to keep the elements off? Is something available to buy or is it a DIY job.

I used a 4x4 wheel cover. Checked that it was suitable for the tyre size.
Been on for a year now, only negative is access to tyre valve to check still inflated correctly.

It's a spare wheel , only used in emergency and most don't even bother and call AA
As long the tyre is ok , i'm ok with it.
Think you better concern yourself to more important things like : how do i get it out from under there , and the flatone back in , do i know where i find the jack/jackpoints, am i strong enough to undo the bolts , is the wheel seized ,...?
I know all the above and don't mind my hands getting dirty , in fact they don't becose i'll be wearing gloves;)

I posted a pic of my spare once and I was asked if I’d found it in the canal.
This could be my chance......

^Loved your Patina effect :thumb

Like @Loz i carry a big plastic bag to fit a changeover wheel in.

If you get your winters changed over at a Tyre Laboratory they always put the wheels taken
of in big bags before sticking them in the vehicle.

I wouldn't bother covering the underslung spare though.

Replaced our spare with a matching alloy; Cost £65 incl tyre on Ebay. Also a bit lighter than the steel one so easier to move around.
