I´m not sure if this is low enough for you John, but you can get side steps.

For my elderly dad, we bought a Milenco two step big black plastic thing. It is the size of a house, so wouldn't be for every day use but if, like us, you occasionally have to ferry an elderly relative to hospital appointments etc, it's a boon.

Don't really understand that accessory. That step is there for a reason and covering that with a box - makes getting into the cab more challenging.

Phew, you wonder what people are thinking when putting so much effort into making an accessory.
