I’m interested in comments I have read by some former 6/6.1 owners about how the space in their new T7 is either better than in the previous model or just needs a different mindset. So where are you putting your kitchen equipment/food supplies? Where are you putting clothes, shoes and wash bags for easy access inside? Or are you just taking less stuff? Thank you for any insights!

I’m a former T6 owner.
I find there is plenty of space but it’s mainly in a different place. The rear ‘under shelf’ is 25% bigger than the previous model, obviously it’s not as easily accessible from the inside.
I store food, plates etc. in what was the old wardrobe. I keep a kettle, pan cups and kitchen utensils in the space under the hob/sink.
The airplane locker seems bigger, perhaps not having the speakers in there?
I use the space behind the rear seats for any bulky items, clothes bags etc. I miss the drawer under the rear bench but find the rear seats even better. The seats move so easily it makes getting access a non issue.
There are only two of us now in the van and occasionally our dog, I don’t feel we have lost storage it’s just differently dispersed.

That’s a really helpful insight. Thank you. I could only assume that kitchen things were kept where the old cupboard was. Yes I think the big drawer under the bench seat is trumped by the sheer convenience and flexibility of the new back seats. We’re just a couple too (no dog) so I think it could work for us.

Rear sliding door pockets are also quite large on the T7. We only took a few days worth of stuff but felt the T7 had plenty of storage for two of us. As above the individual sliding seats add a nice bit of flexibility and easier access to the boot from inside the van.

On my Multivan there is storage under the individual rear seats with a lever at the front to allow the seat squab to lift up. Does the T7 not have storage?

There are small drawers under each seat but are awkwardly small dimensions. They are very useful keeping small stuff you want to be able to grab quickly.

Thank you. Yes I hadn’t figured out that the seats moving individually would give internal access to those larger cupboards in the boot.
