Swiss engineering at calisolar.ch, great new spacesaver ... with a crazy Swiss price

Looks good, shouldn't be too hard to DIY one! :thumb

I like the fine Swiss engineering for the table extension: plonk a larger flat bit of wood on top of the Cali picnic table.

I once used my varnished MDF BBQ table for the same reason, strapped with the ropes (from the 4 corners) under the pick-nick table. Definitly this HPL board has a cleaner and more durable finish. If the difference in price is worth you (295€ in stead of 20€), you could do the reverse, and just drill two little holes in this board and hang it at the rails as well. https://vwcaliforniaclub.com/thread...se-t6-ocean-interior.25087/page-5#post-303152.
But then you should live in Switzerland, Germany or Austria, the only places they seem to ship it to.

Calisolar have some great ideas and developments, but their prices are crazy...
Newest addition after the >500 euro hot water system: https://www.calisolar.ch/produkte-für-vw/zubehör/calisideboard/
Why didn't any one else came up with that idea before?

A DIY one is almost complete - so far cost less than £10, chose to use some grey floor paint we had, but its very slow drying and needs a sand before second coat so no pictures yet.

Don’t forget to put the plans on here! :thumb

Having had to replace the sliding door lock mechanism recently, I would suggest that however it is fixed, it needs to be removable with the door shut. If not there is a possibility if the lock fails that you wont be able to get the door panel off without wrecking it.
