T6 door card removal

I’ve got a very annoying rattly/buzzy speaker in my driver’s door. The previous owner upgraded the speakers so I’m hoping it’s just a case of tightening a few screws on the speaker.

However, I’m having trouble removing the door card as the trim by the door handle is different to the ones in the videos/photos telling you how to remove the door card for the Transporter T6.

I’m being quite careful as I don’t want to damage any of the trim but the smooth black piece of trim above the grab handle seems to be a lot bigger than the ones in the other guides and covers both the top and front rather than just being a small panel covering the front of the handle.

I can see a small slot underneath which I presume is where I should start with the screwdriver but can someone please tell me how this bit comes off? Do I just need to be brave and give it a bit more welly?
