Tapatalk was acting strange, so my first post had images only, sorry.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Sander and I just bought this 2013 T5 California, although I’m not entirely sure whether it’s a conversion to full Cali spec or not. It’s a 140 bhp diesel with DSG, front wheel drive.
I live in the Netherlands so I have a left hand drive.
This is my first campervan, coming from a Toyota Landcruiser 200 v8 that I did some upgrades on so that I could sleep in it (no rooftop tent). Although a hell of an offroad beast, it was far more capable than I am at offroad and comfort was lacking (couldn’t sit up straight on the bed).
Some upgrades I already did to my “Eagle”:
- new rims (Dotz 4x4 modular beadlock 2, 17”) with all season tires
- tinted windows from b-style
- installed an EcoFlow Alternator Charger for my EcoFlow Delta 2 powerstation (brought over from the Toyota)
Planned upgrades:
- Solar panels on the roof
- 2 LiFePo4 leisure batteries replacing the 2 AGM’s
- ARB compressor in the back running of the leisure battery
- SwitchPro 9100 in the front running of the driver seat (left hand drive remember) leisure battery to enable switching on/off additional planned electrics without the need for additional relais for each of them
Any advice/suggestions on the solar panels and LiFePo4 batteries is more than welcome.
