Hi folks

Is 4 a good setting for the fridge - also, did I read somewhere that it's colder in the basket?

What would you put in the basket bit?

Thanks in anticipation.

I bought myself a little hook on fridge temp gauge that angs on the basket. It indicates that for my van 4 is perfect hovering about 2 to 4degC... This spring. But not sure if things change when the weather gets hotter. Fridge thermometers are a must IMO.

I put salad and veggies in there... Keeps it away from the sometimes frozen side walls
(My thermometer indicates the walls are colder than the basket)

Thank you both - busy packing, off on our first proper adventure in the Cali in a couple of hours!!

Be aware on higher settings (colder) things against the back wall low down tend to freeze .

I've just had a bottle of wine explode in the fridge. Setting of 4 was to cold obviously.

I've also found the fridge works better on hookup.

How can that be....it's 12v.........

Why do you think it works better on hook up .....

I have a new cali. I don't know how the fridge works. The max option is to set the colder temperature? Thanks

12v is probably 13.8V or similar on charge and 11.5V when discharged a bit. That may account for the difference
