Hi there, I know this awning has been mentioned on other threads, but I can’t really find a definitive answer.

We sold our pole awning/Shelter and are buying a poled awning instead, as we want to prioritise space, as with the kids we have so much stuff, and I’m fine with a bit more work putting it up.

I like the idea of the Vango Galli Low as the door faces into a field rather than away from the van, it seems a good size for a family. I’ve seen a thread where someone said it doesn’t fit the Cali but plenty of people who do use a Galli.

Just looking for some confirmation, surely if you park the van the other way round (eg tailgate facing into a field), then this means it will fit, or is there issues with the space for the sliding door to open?

I know there is an RSV version, but these are less common and if I’m fine with the van facing the other way, then this isn’t needed?

If anyone has any other thought or experiences with a Galli poled awning do share!

Thanks

We have the inflatable version (rsv), which we used with our old beach, but rarely connected to the van, tended to use it freestanding with the rollers awning out as like to watch the world go by! Can also be connected to the non door side into the slot that runs down the side of the van. The ‘other’ sided awning will work just as well as per your question.

Plus it wont get fouled by the sliding door if connected to the edge of the roller awning (as this is well clear of the sliding door).

They are very sturdy, so a good secondhand buy.

Thanks @Ch1pbutty - I really like the Movelite T3 as an awning and build quality, but back to taking up more space again with that one (as it’s air poled)
