Does it tilt to clear tailgate?

It does tilt. However I have never used it on the Cali so can’t confirm that the tilt is enough for tailgate clearance.

According to some retail sites it tilts enough for a T5 tailgate, which should also mean it should work with a T6.

I have a similar Thule, and it doesn't tilt enough to allow the tailgate to open.
Another poster has included details of a modification he made to allow his (Thule?) bicycle carrier to tilt sufficiently.

Thanks Trevor, that is useful information to know. I have never used it on the Cali, just on previous hire vehicles before getting the van.
