Time to thank the forum

Even if I’ll probably never use the discounts in the shop, as living in Italy I would pay a lot for shipping (and yes, there’re a lot of things I would buy), I think it’s time to thanks the forum and support it. So I’m now a VIP member.

By the way, I’m saving anyway a lot of money, as I started to build my own kitchen pod Ikea Alex based. I would have never think about it without the forum.

I had to shorten the first drawer due to sink height (15 cm).
Now I’m thinking to create a space in the bottom of the second drawer rather than shortening it, as there’s drain system. Don’t know yet if is better to leave water/drain tubes inside Alex o let them pass in the back and then entry again at the tanks level. The second option is probably less nice, but don’t need to shorten second and third drawer (at least in my mind).

Had to modify the 3 drawers due to drain system. Bought two tanks that fit perfectly in the bottom, so they won’t move when driving. Now I have to connect the wire to 12v adapter and think about fixing Alex in the rails.

Finished!
Only thing I’m not satisfied with the fixing, too difficult to find the right position as the hook in the rail keeps moving when you try to position the pod.
So I’m thinking to do the same system on the outer side, using smaller angled stuff (don’t know the right name). At least I can block it with a nut before putting the pod.

Finally found two tanks that can fit well, the prevous ones were too big and I didn’t want to shorten another drawer.

At the end i decided to put on one side a spare Ikea Skadis bag I had at home... almost ruined everything in making holes for the bracket . Better not to show pics, just say I “saved” it covering the holes with some velcro and on the same time using it to fix the bag.
Lesson learned (again): better is the enemy of good (don’t know if it makes sense, use a lot in italian).
