Hi everyone, been absent for a few years, but took delivery from Swansway VW Liverpool an Ascot Grey Ocean Friday 22nd Dec. Waited approx 2 months but worth it. Good service from Oscar and recommend them. Can’t wait for spring now.

Van looks great. We had ours from Liverpool in October. Happy travels.

Now that is one heck of a Christmas present

Hi, and a warm welcome back.
Is this you: Paul, Jo and Miesha?

No apologies needed: it’s been 10 years now since we met at the ‘champagne meet’ with ‘the storm of the century’ ;) We were the couple from Belgium with the white old t4 westfalia california. It was our first meet ever and enjoyed every moment of it.
Later we saw each other again at a COTF (2015 if I remember correctly) when you bought a beautiful westfalia (club joker?). It was brandnew then.
Sorry for your loss, Miesha was a great dog but I’m sure Kyla is also.
I like the colour of your new cali ;)
This is a picture with our old t4 and the t6.1 we bought in 2022.

Hi Calibusje. Yes, now I remember that well. How are you both and are you still Living in Belgium? That Champange meet was great. We were all standing in group watching a tornado then realising it was heading our way and everyone run back to their vans to get the roofs down. The Joker was a good van and a reluctant sale but we needed a van with beds made up all the time so changed to a Motorhome. After man years touring Jo wants more hotel type holidays. Reluctantly I agreed but as a compromise wanted another Cali to do the odd short times away and perhaps use it as our main vehicle. All the best and a happy new year. Regards Paul & Jo

Yes, we live in Bruges and enjoy living there. We are very satisfied with the new califoria coast with which the four of us have already made great, fun trips. I also use it as a daily vehicle and this works very well. So nice that you have a California again. Have fun and who knows, maybe we'll meet again (we normally come to the UK once - or several times - every year). Greetings to Jo and for you too: all the best and a happy new year.

Spring?? You have an excellent heater!!

Welcome back. We came to our beloved Cali Coast via a Type 2. We bought it from JCT600 in Sheffield in lockdown as a demonstrator which had never been driven. Then in November we were woken up by an explosion. A young man drove his car off the road … took out 15 yards of 2 metre high and 1 metre wide hedge and devon bank. He took off and flew 30 yards in mid air landing on our Coast parked in the drive!!!
There was little left of his car. We heard recently that it had been written off and have now ordered a 2 yo Ocean from Harbour Creek on Hayling Island. Looking forward to its arrival in February.
It will be good to be back

Bit of T-cut and that’ll buff right out !
Did the young man survive, cabin looks flattened?

Shocking experience. Glad to hear driver surprised. What car was he driving? I assume the airbags deployed and that cushioned the landing. What was the police report regarding cause? Operator error, mechanical malfunction? Looks like there is a bit of an incline there.

*survived
I bet he was surprised! he must have been travelling at some speed to travel so far in mid air and cause so much damage, to both bis own vehicle plus the Coast.

Glad he's OK and pleased that an Ocean is en-route.

Yes ok . We are walking in Greece to recover so just got these messages
