July / August saw the first big trip out in the van, headed up to the middle of Finland to visit family. Took 9 days to get up there with stops in Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Oland (Sweden) on the way. The route itself was amazing, the Storebelt and Oresund bridges were incredible. Already planning to head back to the north west coast of Denmark next year.
As for the van, never missed a beat. Did 4500km in total, didn’t use a drop of oil or water, returned 25mpg (2.5l petrol, Auto) fully loaded up with gear and family and air-con on all the time. Wife and kids loved every minute of it and even the 3 day drive back on my own was really enjoyable (with the exception of E1.60/l fuel in the Netherlands and the p*** poor UK motorways off the boat in Dover).
