Towing with a california

Hi all,
I previously owned a Cali 174 tiptronic 2006 and towed a caravan, and it was the best tow-car I had owned. About to by another one (should have kept the 1st one) does anyone tow with the latest cali. Looking to get 180 DSG or would 140 DSG be OK ?? Would appreciate some advise.

I regularly tow with my 2008 130 California - excellent and hardly notices the approx 1 ton trailer. What the new generation of engines is like for towing, when good torque range is important, I don't know - but the vehicle itself is ideal.
