Hi All. We keep suffering broken rear springs on our 2014 T5.1 Cali Ocean. We are not overloaded and only run about 6000 miles a year, usually abroad.
I would find it unusual that VW didn't account for the weight of the Cali and didn't fit appropriate springs. Do any others suffer from the same issue? And yes I know potholes can break springs. The replacement springs are unlikely to be genuine parts - but we've obviously broken genuine ones too at some point!
Are there genuine springs from the Transporter range that would be more durable without changing ride height or comfort (excessively)? I'm also wondering if these https://transporterhq.co.uk/vw-tran...t5-t6-eibach-rear-axle-reinforcement-springs/ might offer better longevity despite the minimal lift?
Cheers
