Hi everyone. Having bought a new California Ocean in Nov 2022 I have yet to get the VW connect app to work. I only need to use this I am told by my dealer as I have no service record in hard copy form it only being available on the app I am told. Hence after three years I am still trying to access any vehicle info despite having a live be connect account. It wants my S-PIN which I do no know and it won’t let me reset it in the app. Very grateful for any advice - I’m so frustrated with this app. Many thanks

Try resetting S-pin on VW website.

To reset your VW S-PIN (for We Connect/VW Connect), log into your Volkswagen ID account on the Volkswagen website, go to your profile/settings, find the S-PIN section, and use the "Forgot my S-PIN" link to create a new one, often by entering a longer temporary PIN that gets emailed to you, then use that new PIN in the car. You can also reset it in the app under Account > Security > Change S-PIN, or perform a hard reset of the infotainment system (hold power button for 10s) if the screen is frozen.
