There are major roadworks on the following Autobahns that I know of.
A4 upgrading and bridge works
A1 south of Hamburg. Major works with contraflows.
A7 north of Hamburg as far as Danish border. Major, Major roadworks. Many km's of contraflows most of the way. Bad enough at the weekend during the week could bea lot worse. Allow plenty of time if planning on catching ferries.

The traffic was moving but a breakdown would create havoc. If you have the RNS 510 with the Traffic function on then the satnav should take you around any major holdups.
