Hi,

I'm looking at a waterproof cover for the roof bed in my California (which I pick up on Saturday). The roof bed will mostly be used by my 3 year old. Does anyone have any experience with the Inka covers? Are they slippery under a sheet or are they slightly textured like an airbed would be? I'm mostly looking to protect the mattress from a potentially leaky toddler than from rain as I'm looking at maybe fitting an Isotop or Cali-Cosy to help keep the inside dry.

We kept our three year old in nappies overnight.

He'll be in nappies....it's just that they potentially leak. I'm not into the idea of adding something that'll just need binning if it gets wet though.

We have the one from the club shop. It is shiny/slippery but its ok. Not cheap but it does fit well so can leave it on and forget it unless accidents occur.

If it is to stop staining the original mattress cover, you could put a plastic sheet under a towel under the sheet.

I have a double bed waterproof Terry cotton mattress protector fitted under the sheets on the upper mattress to keep it as new. Got it from Argos for £12 ish. They do wipe clean ones too. Also have one for the lower bed to put over and protect the clean bedding during the day if lounging in the back. Makes getting into bed a doddle too.

Good call. Thanks for that.
