Diversion route off the A40 with a steep / poorly surfaced climb. 2 cars made it (but struggled and caused a chain reaction) , the 3rd had to stop and I had stop at number 5 on a super steep section of the hill. To be frank I was saying dont stop, dont stop, dont stop as I was climbing, scrabbling for grip and managing the gap to car 4 ...... the cars behind turned around, one with a smoking clutch, as I wasn't confident with the loss of momentum. Cars 3 and 4 struggled with four people pushing at numerous points.
Rolled back down and took a short run at is but alas no. Just couldn't build any speed with the gradient with the little grip on offer.
However super impressed with the FWD VW and the poor CC+ tyres. Just couldn't overcome the 3 tonnes / gravity / poor surface.
