What is this called please?!

Hi, newbie here....can anyone please tell me what this is called? It’s like a spoiler or some sort of protector at the end of the bonnet. I’ve just taken it off the van we bought and I’d like to know what it’s is - I possibly should have asked before taking it off!! Thanks

Interesting looking thing....

It's too high up to protect the bonnect from stone chips, so must have been put on an an aesthetic feature?

Sorry, no clue what it is, let alone what it is called. There are lots of helpful folk on here though. Someone may enlighten us all shortly.
