Who do you use to insure your Cali Ocean?

Hi all,

Our MY19 Ocean should be with us by early Jan/late Dec, words cannot describe the excitement

Just wondering which insurers those of you in the UK recommend?

Caravan & Motorhome club works well for us - (high mileage and no work use) and 1st class service after a non-fault claim of £9k a few years ago

Depends on so many factors, get quotes from Comfort, Safeguard, Caravan Guard, C&CC & C&M clubs also Direct Line, Herts Insurance & LV as a MINIMUM.

If it takes two hours and you save £300 that’s £150 an hour, not bad eh?

When you get your quotes make sure the policy covers the camper elements of the van and it covers damage if there was damage due to a kitchen fire etc. Some of non specialist companies may not. I'm with Comfort.

Some insurances only allow up to 31 days in duration of European trips. Same can apply to Health cover incidentally.
I have Safeguard as they allow for multi trips and up to 91 days in one trip. I do approx 3 months in total with no problem and they include breakdown cover. I know VW warranty covers you if on a new van.

I went with Safeguard using the club deal as it is one of the very few that offers unlimited mileage

Saga insurance we found to be the most competitive, also no limit on the time allowed to be spent in Europe.
