I was searching for used California's here in NZ as I'm going to sell my current Beach when the new one arrives and wanted to get an idea of market value. I found this which I've never seen before, the advertiser states it can be unwrapped back to the original 'Darkwood' colour. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/ca...orhomes/up-to-5-metres/auction-1432013002.htm

NZ$105,000 equates to about £57,000, so not bad for a 2014 Cali if it goes for that.

About time we saw a 'fun' campervan , this is what it is all about

The hound who is driving looks pretty pleased as well!

Awesome find Goldie. My trade me auto California search hadn't found that one. Wife now searching their website...

Flash back to my youth with that. A bit OTT for me.

Looks too much like a 'Wicked' camper for me. Would look better if the black panels either side of the centre grill and lower section with fogs and number plate were wrapped as well.

Also reminds me of those 'disguised/camouflaged' new models you sometimes see on motorways - too distracted by the graphics to determine the shape and changes.

is that what You call "dazzle camouflage" do not think I would buy it but better thansome of the boring current VW colour choices.

Wow! Great find. Love the colours, my wife just said that's a right "camperdazzle!". Need to find more to brighten the day.

Clearly not for everyone but I admire it. Wouldn't own it but like to see it.

It makes our decoration look tame.

I can’t remember where I saw it, but somewhere I have seen pictures showing a van with a WW2 bomber scene wrapped on the bonnet. I would quite like to have something on the front to protect from stone chips, but more to make it a bit different.

Yes! I saw it the other week whilst driving through Shropshire. Think it had been to Vdubs in the Valley. It did catch my eye; I think it was Lancasters.

That’s the one, Maverick! How did it look in the flesh?

I passed it fairly quickly but the bonnet was eye catching, it looked pretty good. I didn’t even notice whether the van was a Cali or a converted transporter.

I like the idea of wrapping the bonnet but don’t think I’m brave enough to have that sort of graphic on it.

I know what you mean, but I guess the worst thing that could happen is that you take it off. No matter what you put on, it isn’t going to be to everyone’s taste.

You ought to see the graphics I have on mine, as some here have....well ‘Keved’ up with various stuff.

What have you got @BerndRos ?

There used to be a sponsor on here from Spain selling various bits n bobs.....

Boots on the drivers door

Zip on the sliding door

Tap & Electric logos on the other side

‘Black Hole’ for the fuel

&

Coffee Maker & Bog Rolls & lots of other stuff on the back....

... and this one of a dog, but our dog died and I had to remove it :

What colour does he tell his Insurer it is? I agree too that it’s fun, but I wouldn’t want to own it.

I quite like that van but I wouldnt want to own it tbh. If I was buying I might be slightly nervous about what was underneath and if it was hiding anything.
