York Campsite

Could anyone please recommend a place to stay in or very close to York. We’re struggling with availability for 2 nights from 5-7 December. Happy to stay anywhere safe. Thank you

There are a couple of CAMC sites, one right in the centre and the other on a bus route. They are normally very busy at this time of year with people visiting the Christmas Markets but you might be lucky.

the lysander arms. adults only. walking distance to city or near park n ride. open all year

I can't remember the name of the site I stayed at but it's worth a look at the various local train routes into York and seeing if you can stay within walking distance. York traffic is terrible at the best of times
