Joined this Forum to share experiences and issues with other members. We took delivery of Billy back in March 21 from Swansway of Liverpool

Experiences
Loving van life, been a great escape from lockdown, been to some great sites local and further afield

Issues
We have had numerous niggling issues, none catastrophic, but takes the edge of something you have been looking forward to, now getting frustrated and not what you expect from a £60K vehicle.
Apart from the fresh water level sensor needing replacement the issues have been software issues, been back to Swansway of Liverpool 3 times, so far not solved, the excuses being software updated but does not solve issues, or waiting for new update. Ridiculous having same faults for nearly 6 months. Contacted VW customer service, same story software updates not available with no indication

Good to know that you are loving the van life ... and try and make that the focus. Some of the niggling issues will get sorted out in due course, but unfortunate that you are having so many issues and yes, it does take the shine off the experience.

But stick with it, ask some questions on here and see if we can help/suggest solutions ... and continue to Enjoy the van life. Yup, the best escape from lockdown. :thumb

Think before you invest
what are the software issues? some on here may have the answers.
 
:welcome Hope you get sorted, very annoying that the 6.1 still has Gremlins. A colleague recently spent the thick end of 90k on a new motorhome and has no end of issues so it's not just VW but I do feel that when you part with so much cash it's not unreasonable to expect your new purchase to work in every way.

Have you spoken to Liverpool about compensation, I got it when my new Cali's fridge had an intermittent fault which they fixed by replacing the whole unit.
