I’ve been tracking my Beach Camper order with VW chat (once a week). Two weeks ago it was about to be built, last week it was in build, today it is at port of exit.
Then, a few minutes later, I received an email from my sales guy, we hope to have your van in around 3 weeks. (Yup I knew that). Sorry to have not been in touch, but we’ve been furloughed...
I hadn’t realised that. Whilst many of us are complaining about lack of communication from our dealers, they are having to furlough staff.
So to have an apology for something that is totally out of the sales guys control, and he’s been furloughed... hat’s off to him.
Very excited about my van. Also hoping we can all (me included) show a little more compassion for the staff on the work floor of VW Commercial dealerships.
