I have an old 2006 German market T5 cali.
Last week I waxed my Fjallraven jacket with their own brand of wax. I think it's fairly safe, the only ingredients are paraffine and beeswax and it's designed to allow breathability. You just rub on a thin layer and use a hair dryer to melt it into the fabric.
I decided to also use it on the bellows before a trip to Ireland and had sideways 30-40 mph rain for days on end. Stayed very dry where before it would seep in more. I think it helped.
