On the look out for Beach Camper storage ideas

We have the 2-seater Beach with storage pod compartments.

The pods are brilliant for holding loads of stuff but I keep thinking about ways in which we can improve get to the most used items. The space at the front of the pod is where we keep our food. Up until now we've kept cooking equipment in the drawer below the rear seats but, with a dog bed taking up a lot of the floorspace, am thinking of swapping it with our cleaning products and putting plates, mugs etc into the back of the pod for easier access. The pic attached shows the new layout (with a DIY cutlery holder).

Anyone have other ideas on how best to use the pods or just general storage ideas for a Beach Camper. Haven't been able to find much inspiration online. Shoe storage in the boot is the next thing am keen to sort out...

For shoes use the dead space by the sliding door step and bench. Plenty companies offer solutions though they can also be easily made

I don't recognise your pod - is it the box behind the passenger seat / to the left of the rear bench? My MY2016 T6 Beach doesn't have that shaped divider - I've never been able to sort it out to my satisfaction, stuff just slung in & inaccessible and feels like good space wasted.

  • I've just bought grey felt boxes from Amazon Basics, similar to IKEA SKUBB (which go in & out of stock regularly), for the 2-seat bench underseat drawer. Reduces rattles & keeps smaller things organised.

  • https://www.gruenthal-mobilcamping.de/shop/ have some excellent accessories, but they know how to charge & UK import charges & Parcelforce add-ons are eye-watering post Brexit. I've just fitted their pull out drawer (left of underseat drawer), shoe rack and chopping board that sits on the table rail.

The pull out tray on rails from the club shop has been a good addition - makes boxes under the multiflex board massively more usable, though the 2-seat Beach bench is dramatically lower than that in the 3-seat which limits things.

I'm going to make a custom sized 'slatted crate' to fill the whole height / usable space on the tray.
