Useful 12v Digital Voltmeter with LCD display, 2 x USB ports and an Audible and Visual low voltage alarm set at 11.8v, which should allow engine start..

I use it plugged into the Top Dashboard socket, Leisure Battery, when travelling so that USB ports can be used and it also shows Solar Panel output when engine off, and plugged into the Drinks Holder socket if camping without hook-up as that is powered by the Engine battery so the alarm function will hopefully prevent a flat engine battery.

How can they make it at less than a fiver? Incredible.
Have you tested the accuracy of the voltmeter?

Well, plugged into the Top Dashboard socket wired to the Leisure Battery, I was getting the same reading as the Control Panel and the Solar Panel MPPT readout.

Is the top dashboard socket definitely fed from the leisure batts ( on later T5's) ?

Well at ÂŁ4.47 delivered I have taken a wild gamble

Have you calculated the power usage of the divice itself....?

No. But after 2 weeks in a car park at Heathrow with it plugged into the Starter battery powered cup holder socket the reading had dropped by 0.2v, so I don't think that would be a problem. And starting wasn't a problem. Don't think I will ever be wild camping off hookup for that long.

I recently post in the wrong thread.
I bought this one.

Silly question, but how do you know that socket feeds from the leisure batteries? (I thought everything up front came off the starter battery)

Two dogs, the salesman told me everything upfront was the leisure battery in my 2015 Cali. He was wrong.
If you put in a voltmeter , you can see that the top dash socket is the same as the rear one, and not the same as the one in the ash tray

I bought a different one for a couple of quid......and it isn't accurate when tested against a quality multimeter...o well, not going to cry over two quid....usually you get what you pay for(like a Cali!!!)

If you try, you see the difference between front (main engine battery) and rear (leisure). I only use it in the rear. It works fine

That's what my salesman told about mine too (also 2015)!

Thanks....useful to know

OK...my control panel says leisure battery voltage is 13.6
Socket on top of dash 13.55
Ashtray socket 12.4
Socket on front of cupboard 12.4
Socket by rear seat 13.6

Doesn't that mean my cupboard socket is wired up to the starter battery?

I am going to test that in the beach too, thanks for the heads up.

Probably Yes.

Do you know if that is normal?
I wouldn't have thought so. Mine certainly isn't like that.
12v sockets in the Rear, in Rear seat cupholder, kitchen unit and Top of Dashboard all showed 13.9v when sun was out ( I have a solar panel charging Leisure batteries ) .
Socket in Dash cupholder showed 12.3v

How odd...you have to wonder how on earth that could be done incorrectly given that there must be a big wiring harness they just plug everything into
