£380 - is that for regular powder coating or something else? Seems pricey if its powder coating compared to the prices I've been quoted (and I live in Kent which isn't known for being cheap).

£95 per corner seems reasonable to me for powder coating.

These guys have been recommended to me. When the new Woodstocks start looking tatty, I’m planning to head up there and have them powder coated matt black. I take it the fact you‘ve used them 4 times means they do a good job?

Yes 4 sets...3 alloys plus 1 set of vw steel wheels.

The alloys have been good. On one occasion the technician noticed some blemishes in one wheel so offered to redo it, which I agreed to.

The vw steel wheels cost an extra £10 per corner because they had to be sand blasted. After 4 years 2 of these have slight signs of corrosion coming through, but I only use these as winter wheels and not bothered.

The prices have increased over the past couple of years. The first set only cost £25 per corner with tyres on.

They have a large display of the colours and finishes that you can select from in the reception area.

The location is inside the new emissions zone, so check beforehand that your vehicle is not affected. Also the location is on the edge of the town centre, so you can have a wander and get food and drink if you are waiting.

I’m not a fan of dark tints as it makes the inside too dark for me but I can’t deny it looks good from the outside!

Are you going to black out your b pillars? Love the look of mine now I’ve done it.

Don't think you'll find you can have diamond cut Woodstocks powder coated because it won't adhere satisfactorily to the sharp edges.

You could put the savings from the metallic paint towards the Sports Pack. What you get in return is well worth the additional uncharge. Personally speaking I don't think there is whole lot of difference in ride quality going from 17's to 18's. The tyre choice will have a greater impact based on my experience. I would argue the 18's might improve the ride given the tendency of the 3 ton Cali to wallow.
