Towbar fitting advice - Ireland

Hi, are there any Irish residents who have retro-fitted a tow bar to their T6.1? I'm looking at McCabe's or Malcolm's, but would love to hear from anyone who had used them. Thanks in advance!

Hi, just wondering if you ever got the tow bar fitted? If so who did you go with and would you recommend them? I have a 2021 California Coast and thinking about getting a towbar fitted but not sure who to go with. Thanks

I went with a detachable tow bar from Malcolm's in Rathcoole in the end. Excellent service and happy to recommend.

Detachable fitted at VW Commercial in Birmingham. It seemed like a big job as the front seats were removed? Coding electrics a bit protracted.

Good job overall, more expensive than third parties.

When I called Malcolm’s, they said they couldn’t code a towbar in on T6.1 so if I got one from them would have issues with the sensors. Did you get the same message?

Malcolm's didn't flag any issue with coding my T6.1 - and it was one of the questions I asked them. We've had no issue with the sensors when the towbar or bike rack are attached. All seems to be in order.
