I got quoted €1700 to change discs and pads here in Sweden on my California T5.1 2012 so I thought I'll give it a try myself. Read some very helpful threads here but feeling very unsure if I'm ordering the right size. Judging from the PR code below (1AK) I should use 314mm for the front? From what I read it should be 308 or 340 if I wanted to upgrade (I don't). And for the rear it seems clear that it should be 294 and 22 mm thick. I wanted to go for Brembo.

In the U.K. we have vehicle parts suppliers , using their website enables you to put your registration number in , the site will then show the corresponding parts for your vehicle. Do you have similar suppliers ? (I.e where you are going to buy the parts from.

If not email the supplier with your VIN number and ask them to advise you what is required ? Most supplier will do that

Or You can simply remove one of the front wheels an measure the disc diameter with a tape

Rears disc are all the same size across all years Models

Brembo is a good make , I'm running them ATM pads and discs are good, be sure to bed them in as required

If you become a VIP member you could ask @calikev for help as he can tell you what parts you need from your VIN number.

I measured best I could and I think it's 314mm x 30mm but I can't seem to find it in any parts catalogue

I think your measurement is off because your tape is not in a straight line? I would say it's a single piston caliper, what do you think @Perfectos.

As you engine is 103 KW my AUTODOC parts lists these brakes for this model

As others have said think your tape was affected by the hub projection and the outer corrosion lip

NB the spec for the front is thickness 29.5mm and minimum thickness of 26.5mm
If you going to do the rear brakes you will need a brake piston rewind tool (also useful for the front if you are struggling to get the piston back into the Caliper )

Hopefully there is a Swedish equivalent to europarts or AUTODOC good luck

Theres a far simpler way to tell than using vin numbers etc,
If you have 16" wheels you have the small front brakes as 16" wont fit over the bigger ones.

The third line in the building sheet translation I attached (item CK4) shows the vehicle was built with Alloy 6.5J x 16” wheels so has to have the 308mm discs as you commented.

@Resfeber thanks for all the info. Very appreciated! I'm going with the 308

I don’t know how to tell you this but the total Brembo parts cost (4 discs and all pads) is €235 in Uk excluding the rewind tool.
Only additional items would be
Correct sized sockets and splined drive tools and a torque wrench to ensure that all bolts are to the correct setting.

Also 4 new stretch bolts for the front brake Caliper carrier as they are torqued up to around 180 Nm and shouldn’t really be reused.

Fitting all these in the uk would be another €240 to €300

These videos will help
Front brakes

Rear brakes
