I wonder why not all cars are affected by the software problem,in my mind it seems strange if we have the same software.
I havent had any problems yet on my ocean, should i still update the software ?

I think we will eventually find out that a particular batch of vehicles are affected, dependant on when they were produced. New vehicles probably have updated software installed prior to delivery.
Why it happened? Might be an unintended consequence of a software change at the end of development that wasn’t fully tested , change of a computer chip, any number of possibilities. It will be sorted.

Just as i was thinking...one thing that has confused me a little, is that there are report(s) of vans being updated by dealers but still having issues - and one dealership has reported that there are issues with the update. I guess software any update can have issues, and this is what is happening :) This does not explain why later vans? (that have likely had an update) are apparently ok?

Probably new vehicles have Software ver 2 and the older vehicles have ver1 which is being updated to ver 2 with the update.

My garage stated that others they have talked to have had the same issue. I know mine was one of if not the first in Scotland outwith the demo - it’s had a number of different problems from the recent ones (first garage claimed they just swapped the leisure batteries for new and this fixed everything) however I’ve been unable to get the software update as it won’t work - I’ve also had electric faults in my wingmirror (again not sure if this is related - as the first garage tried to install a towbar after market (then removed. Then added. Then removed) this meant adding a new wiring loom and taking out the kitchen etc) so comparing this to a factory one already has too many differences
