I have the same issue when trying reverse up a very slight curb to get on the drive. Needs way more load than anything with this much torque should require. Do the dealers charge for the updates when out of warranty?

Update on mine (2wd Dsg Ocean) - ordered April 21 and was due next month, dealer called today and said to expect another couple of months delay - so that’s Easter out, more than likely. It is what it is!

@Loz did you get both the TVS engine and transmission update, or was it only the transmission/DSG software?

Run it in to vw and explain your concerns ,I’m sure if there’s a problem with it it will be an update of some kind ????? ask to drive another dsg to compare it with yours.to ease your mind

Recently had the gearshift plate repaired on a T6.1 under 5000K km Auto DSG 7 box, repaired under warranty the manual shift mode from 4 -6 wasn't possible, also this caused the software not to update according to the VW mechanic

I had my DSG software updated to the latest version recently as van sometimes would not move when cold and on a slope. It fixed my issue but reversing up slopes just the same as before.

My Ocean order went in mid Feb and the dealer told me not to get hopes up before October. That’s delivery to Spain for a 150 DSG. I haven’t even asked for an update yet, I just put it out of mind… maybe I should!
