Good morning everyone,
We’re picking up our T6 Beach on Saturday. (Starlight blue/ candy white DSG with lots of additional bits and bobs).
New experience for me but looking forward to having some fun trips with our 15 month old and 2.5 yr old boys & will be my daily commuter too.
Can anyone advise on best place to get insurance? That’s tomorrow’s job!

Welcome. Have a search on these forums regarding insurance - there's been a lot of discussion...
It's a very personal choice and depends on location, age and use. Lots advocate specialist insurers like 'Comfort', but a lot use 'normal' car insurers too - phone round and make sure that you get the cover that you are happy with, including the habitation equipment and use of.

PS - consider a VIP membership, you get discounts on shop and some insurers, and access to more of the forum.

Our boys were slightly older and a very similar age gap between them when we picked up Amarillo. We have now had 50,000 miles of fun with Amarillo. You are getting your van at exactly the right time in your boys lives.

We use a broker called Advance Insurance (01373 822369), and insure with Axa.

Our annual premium is £387 (£433 incl. IPT). That is for 12,000 miles per annum, £350 excess, and with two unsettled claims (once both claims are settled I expect a partial refund.)

:welcome CaliViv
Great choice of vehicle, welcome to the beach club
Insurance, try LV & Aviva for a general comparison.

Premium will depend on post code, age, claims etc.
Plenty of detail on the forum regarding insurance
I changed from Aviva to LV this year ( much more competitive via LV)

Let’s see a couple of photos of that lovely Cali beach

Gorgeous! Your Cali doesn't look bad either. Actually it looks fantastic. I hope you all have very many wonderful adventures in Pepper Van.

No doubt you will have seen the episode where Daddy Pig hires a camper van. A fine specimen of male pighood is your Daddy pig. He is totally useless! Miss Rabit on the other hand is a multi tasking Godess.

Our new Beach has just arrived at the dealers after a two month wait. It's currently being pimped up a smidge so we won't get it for another week at least. Ours is the same colour scheme as your beauty. I think we got them just in time, as it appears that VW won't, for the time being at least, be sending the new T6-1 Beach to the UK. They have also dropped that rare colour scheme.

Good luck and happy adventures.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Took ‘Peppa van’ (named by my toddler!) out for a wee spin this morning. Love it!

Looks really lovely but i think it would look even better if you wrap the B pillars black.

Like those wheels aswell!

Thanks- ours is ‘preloved’ so haven’t had to wait thankfully. That’ll be amazing when you finally get it.
The colour looks a bit dull here because it was a horrible day but beautiful in the sunlight!
I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve seen that Peppa episode. He’s got a Peppa van of his own too

I agree. Miss Rabbit is the true hero!

Having two toddlers at the right time I consider myself something of a Peppa Pig aficionado. Miss Rabbit is not a multitasking goddess. Her parents bred like ... err ... rabbits ... and Miss Rabbit has lots of siblings, mostly working in the retail trade. You may note that Mummy Rabbit is a sibling of the Miss Rabbits and has exactly the same voice as her siblings.

An interesting theory but I'm not buying it. As prey animals, if Miss Rabbit had that many siblings, Freddie Fox and his family would have munched their way through them by now. After all there are 104 episodes.

And that's even before we consider road kill!

Nah, we have all watched many episodes of Animals of Farthing Wood, foxes and rabbits coexist in perfect harmony and no animal has ever starved to death, so there.

That's only when the cameras are rolling. Once they're off it's total carnage. Fur and feathers flying all over the shop. I suspect that Mr and Mrs Rabbit have to go at it like rabbits in order to keep pace with the attrition rate.

Apologies to the OP for rabbiting on.

Proof:

As Of end March 2019 there had been 277 episodes of Peppa Pig.

In Episode 52 Miss Rabbit gets married to Mr Bunny, either to be renamed Mrs Rabbit making at least two Mrs Rabbits, or being renamed Mrs Bunny and never heard of again.

In later episodes of Peppa Pig Miss Rabbit reappears proving there are multiple Miss Rabbits.

So glad my peppa pig days are over!

Mind blown .... I sometimes think I could recite the lines of every episode. Depressing to think how much RAM in my head is being used up by that nonsense. Probably explains why I forget everything!
I must say I think Peppa is a precocious little . I prefer George. Unfortunately the toddler has determined it is ‘Peppa Van’
