2024 6.1, VW's SFD2, and Carista

Hello all -
Through an email exchange with a helpful person at Carista, I confirmed what has already been covered here – that neither of Carista's current OBD units can work with VW's SFD2, and that there is little prospect of change in the short term. Which made me wonder: does anyone know exactly when the change to SFD2 was implemented, for example by engine number, VIN number or maybe software version?

Thanks, CC – that's helpful. I see the T7 is listed, but not the 6.1. So there may be hope! However, Kufatec reasonably points out that its info is not exhaustive. So I guess the only option is to connect a Carista and see what happens.

I wonder – does anyone in Sussex have a unit that could be tried? Of course I'll happily travel and pay the monthly license fee. Please make contact if you'd be OK with the idea. Thanks!
