Hi,

I have gone for a set of 18" alloys on my T6 California. I have seen threads where most people refer to 235/50/r18 or 255/40/18. But looking around I seem to be able to get some decent deals on 245/45/R18. Do you think I could get away with these. The circumference is similar so not too sure.

What are other people's experience?

Many thanks

Monty B

I have the 18" VW Toluca rims with 255/45 R18 103ZR/Y it works very well ;-)

Thanks for your reply. I love those rims. They look so good.
Which brand and make do you run?
Many thanks

Peter

As above, I think 255/45/18 103 is the tyre size for you.

I have the Continental Sport Contact 5.

After 36.000 km there is +/- 5 mm left. They are worn very even.

I have used winter tyres for 3-4 months in the 36.000 km period. So 33.000 km must be the correct distance I assume. Not too impressing. If you want longer lifetime I guess you must go for the Cargo, Van or SUV tyres. But I am uncertain you will be able to get the Cargo or Van in 18".
