5th Seat Questions

1, Can the extra seat be fitted either next to the sink or next to the sliding door?

2, Can you use it whilst travelling in the rear facing position?

3, Can you use it whilst travelling in the " sideways position"?

We find forwards facing next to the sink is best for us - unobstructed view through the windscreen and can use the space between the front seats as extra leg room.If you remove the stops in the rails (2 mins with a screwdriver) you can slide the back bench further back to give a lot more leg room.

When not camping we leave the rear shelf at home & have the rear bench slid back to leave about 18 inches of boot length, this then gives enough room to put up the kitchen table between the 5th seat facing backwards and the rear bench.

Interesting to read that you can put the 5th seat next to the sink. Makes it much easier for passengers to get in and out.

I have been looking for instructions for removing the seat. Has anyone found anything better than the VW manual?
