61 Plate Radio Upgrade to DAB and Bluetooth

I have decided to undertake a few improvements to my Cali.



It has the standard factory fitted radio unit that is linked into steering wheel controls and the front/ rear parking sensors. It has neither DAB nor Bluetooth

I would like to add DAB and Bluetooth functionality, whilst retaining connectivity with the parking sensors and steering wheel controls. Not interested in SAT Nav, as the free google one on the phone is so good

What is the most cost effective way of achieving this with a VW radio unit please ? I would rather stay with a VW unit as these are probably less attractive to thieves than Kenwood or whatever branded items.

If you can find an RNS315 and find one with a mac address on the label you can enable bluetooth for free and just add a mic.

There are also some nice cheap RCD units from china no DAB but they do have carplay etc.

Beware of some 315 on eBay as they look a bit suspect shall we say. Fitting a replacement unit is easy, along with a dab aerial, as I did this on my previous cali, fitted a rcd510.
I'm currently looking to upgrade but purely to better access my music, but also want to keep all my current functions.
Mine is like yours but I already have dab and Bluetooth.
