Hi All ,
First time out in my 2016 Cali beach tomorrow just heading south for two nights!
I have packed and repacked many times !
In my minds eye I am a minimalist !
Pls add detract as you see fit !
I’ll post pics of Killeen Camper tomorrow !
So here goes I’m no particular order or is it !
Gin and tonic
Bluetooth speaker
Bluetooth charger
Power bank (leisure battery needs replacing)
Football
Running spikes
Hiking boots
Surfers changing mat for keeping interior dry when removing wet items
Dog spike ! With said dog
Pjs
Change of clothes
Toiletries
Water
Porta loo
Yeti cooler with camp friendly food
Frozen pasta sauce
Regianno and micro plane !
Dog food
Any advice would be appreciated ! If I can light camping stove and listen to pod casts I’ll consider it a success ! It’s an acclimatisation trip !

A VW cali what can I say it is a van yes
But it’s also a dream maker and tardist !
At one point I pulled over to the side of the road and made a Cuppa !
I enjoyed the scenery enroute and the journey itself was a real joy ! Thanks for advice ! As you can see my dog was settled and we stayed at wild with consent and it was lovely .

It will be interesting to see your (revised) list after say three camping trips. I suspect that seat covers may be added (dog)

One of the pleasures of campervan life, as opposed to caravanning, is not having a portaloo. Nothing saps joy like emptying one. We used one during Covid. Never been used since.

Added to the essentials of gin, credit card, sense of humour I would suggest a nice glass to drink the aforementioned gin from and a Swiss army knife. You'll adapt to all
eventualities and find your own way. Just have fun!
