Annoying repeat warning (distance sensor?)

We have a really annoying repeating sound in our Cali. Sounds just like a distance sensor warning. It comes on and repeats for 10-12 goes, every time we come to a stop (traffic lights, roundabout, etc). And sometimes it will come on during a long run on the motorway too. It sounds just like the distance sensor. Might have to take it in but to run a diagnostics check will cost £ 160. Appreciate any ideas of where to look/do.

Like a reversing/manouvering beep? Could be a failed sensor, which Carista could identify for you rather than drop into a dealer, or maybe handbrake on warning sensor stuck?

The Hand brake has a micro switch on it to let you know when the handbrake has not been released fully !

That will Boing Boing a bit to let you know.

Something easy to check out at least

Thanks. That's not it. Sorry I can't post the video clip I made with the sound audible (softly...but it's very present when you're actually sat in the van).

Sorry, roof very securely in place and no gaps showing.

What does the roof symbol on the camper control panel show? If there is a bad sensor the roof can be fully down but the system still believes the roof is open and will sound a warning when driving.

Clean the spider webs off the parking sensors. Fixed my problem.

Hi,

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago after some work was done and had a very similiar error when I stopped and pulled away again but was only getting 1 or 2 beeps when pulling away. Have a read through the thread I posted (including the service bulletin attached within the thread) and hopefully it may resolve the problem.

Brilliant kma! I had a go following the pdf instructions you enclosed and it worked a treat! It is a pleasure to drive our van again. Would never have been able to figure this one out for myself...and once you had pointed it out, remembered where I had heard that sound before - always around 10 beeps when you raise or lower our roof. Many thanks!

Glad it worked for you and the problem has been resolved.
