Parking Distance Control

On switching on, I have the yellow warning lamp come on (the one with an exclamation mark) and message 'Error: Parking Distance Control'. In reversing, I had lost the beeping and the yellow / red warning bands. In the Infotainment screen, there is a message saying ' Function Restricted'.
Any ideas? Think I have seen somewhere that it may be one of the sensors is damaged & the way to check is if hear if each is making a clicking noise by getting up very close!

Might be worth gently washing each of the rear sensors if you haven't tried this already.

A stethoscope or glass held to your ear with the open end over each sensor whilst active.

Thanks for the advice; will clean first , then do the hearing test over each sensor!

Just for completeness: van went into VW Breeze. Failed rear sensor identified. Replaced and painted . Done under warranty. Sorted.
